What is an OEM - Original Equipment Manaufacturer - Cartridge
OEM – Is an acronym that stands for 'Original Equipment Manufacturer'.
OEM cartridges are new cartridges put out by the original manufacturer.
They are the highest
cost cartridge
of any on the market.
Many remanufactured and compatible cartrridges can be purchases as low as 40% the cost of oem cartridges, and lower. The major strongpoint of oem is that they are likely to be the most dependable and least likely to be rejected by the printer. However, many printers of age (greater than 7 or 8 years old) are less apt to reject cartridges. Which there are workarounds for, like resetting the printer and perhaps removing any related software which is non-essential. |
